Data protection

Data protection declaration: Thank you for taking the time to visit and read our website. This data protection declaration is designed to inform you of the principles and procedures in place to protect your privacy and is further intended to explain how the data that you transfer to us is used.

What laws and regulations designed to ensure data protection does concept26 conform to?
concept26 takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your data will be collected, handled and used solely in accordance with Germany's Data Protection Act [Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG], Telecommunications Data Protection Act [Gesetz über den Datenschutz bei Telediensten – TDDSG] and other regulations governing data protection.

What should I be aware of with regard to my personal data?
You can use our website without disclosing your identity (i.e. anonymously). However, if you register for a personalised service (e.g. to be sent information by post or subscription to a newsletter), we ask for your name and other personal information, as without this information we cannot provide the service requested. However, we collect only the information necessary to fulfil your request. You are entirely at liberty to decide whether or not you wish to partake of these services and provide your data for the purposes described.

If I use the website anonymously, what data of mine is transmitted?
When you visit our website, our server's logfiles (i.e. access protocols) inform us only of the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you visited us, the pages that you visit on our website, the time and duration of your visit, and your browser version and operating system. This information will be evaluated for statistical purposes. We cannot establish your identity from any of this information and your anonymity as an individual user will be preserved.

What data is transferred, even if I use the website anonymously?
Our server's logfiles (i.e. access protocols) inform us only of the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you visited us, the pages that you visit on our website, the time and duration of your visit, and your browser version and operating system. This information will be evaluated for statistical purposes. We cannot establish your identity from any of this information and your anonymity as an individual user will be preserved.

How do you ensure your data is secure?
We have put technical and administrative measures in place to protect your personal data from loss, corruption and unauthorised access. To the extent that you provide us with your personal data, we give you the opportunity to use SSL (secure socket layer) technology. SSL technology encrypts your data during transfer to us over the Internet. Regardless of the internet browser you use, this encrypted transfer of data is indicated by the padlock symbol in the status bar at the bottom of your browser.

Will my data be made available to third parties?
Your data will not as a general rule be made available to third parties. Data may, with your consent, be transferred to those third parties named in the declaration of consent, but only insofar as those third parties have been bound by concept26 to adhere to applicable data protection regulations. Your data will not be sold to, rented to or exchanged with any third parties. Insofar as we transfer your data to external suppliers for the purposes of providing our services (contract-related data processing as per §11 BDSG), the suppliers concerned shall be bound by the BDSG, other statutory data protection regulations and this Data Protection Declaration.

Are there any exceptions to the restrictions on data transfer to third parties?
If we are required to do so by statute or court order, we will transfer your data to such state authorities and private sector bodies as are authorised to receive such information, subject to careful consideration of the relevant circumstances. We further reserve the right to transfer your data to third parties without your agreement if such transfer is necessary to protect us from criminal prosecution or from attacks designed to impair or interfere with the orderly functioning of our website.

Will my data be transferred to countries outside of Germany?
Insofar as you enter into a relationship with concept26 from a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or the European Union (EU), your data can be transferred to that country. concept26 guarantees to undertake appropriate precautions and data protection agreements to ensure the safe and legal use of your data.

How can I exercise my right to revoke my data or have it deleted?

If you have provided us with any personal data, you can revoke it at any time. We will then delete it as soon as possible. This provision does not apply to data used for invoicing and accounting purposes. The deletion of such data is governed by the periods defined in TDDSG. Insofar as we are legally required to retain your data, it cannot be deleted, although it can, where technically possible, be rendered inaccessible, in which case it will be retained in our systems, but not subjected to any further processing or use.
